PALEO BANG BANG SHRIMP

This is my wholesome take on paleo bang bang shrimp. No cornstarch, no sketchy substances and no coronary heart attack inducing vegetable oils. So apparently this is a dish from Bonefish Grill. Admittedly I’ve never been there, however I’ve seen this recipe floating round Pinterest for years. It usually regarded simply, really true however became coated in cornstarch and tossed in rancid vegetable oil mayo, which just sounded gross to me.


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb wild shrimp
  • 1/2 cup tapioca flour
  • 3 tbsp unflavored coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup healthy mayo
  • sriracha as much as you like, I added about 4 tbsp because I love spice

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. warmth the coconut oil over medium to medium excessive.
  2. Coat each shrimp in tapioca flour.
  3. Fry every shrimp until crispy on every side.
  4. In a separate bowl, blend the mayo and sriracha.
  5. Toss the sauce and shrimp together.
  6. non-compulsory: top with inexperienced onions.
